“Shila Arara!”
The sound cut into 7-year-old Shila’s ears like a blaster, and she was afraid to turn around. Standing still in the Great Hall, she almost hoped the force had somehow turned her invisible that very moment.
"Shila!" The voice sounded louder.
She wouldn't think someone would discover her walking around this early in the morning. It was still dark out, and the Great Hall was black and abandoned, only steaks of moonlight peeping though the large windows that gave the illusion of stripes down the hallway. She let out a sigh and turned around.
"Master Djin!" she exclaimed with fake excitement. A little

Chapter 11 Halka's reveal
"Well, Halka?" Rajkumar waited patiently for Halka to answer. Kala turned her head a bit to look at her with curiosity as well. Halka just shrugged casually.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she said calmly like he was asking something utterly stupid. Rajkumar's jaw clenched hard.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about!" he said loudly and furiously. Halka jumped a little in surprise and got a look on her face that appeared almost miserable. "All the stuff about me and Kala. How do you know that if you're just a cat?! And that crack in your head from the attack back at the pride.

X4 - part 3
The girl said nothing as she saw Nigeria and Storm, but quickly sat up on the table. Fear and confusion was what her eyes were telling them. Storm tried to calm her down.
Its okay, we wont hurt you, she said calmly. The fear in the girls eyes slowly vanished, but Storm noticed that she was definitely still confused, so she continued.
Youre at Xaviers school for the gifted, at Westchester just outside New York City. We will take care of you if you want.
The girl finally started to relax a bit, and she looked around the room. She spotted Logan, still sitting on the chair.

Chapter 10 - Realization
"This is not good."
Rajkumar stood frozen and glared surprised at the open lands in front of him. It would have looked like a desert if it were not for the medium sized patches of grass here and there.
"The easiest way to Deep's pride is to walk at the edge of the forest towards east," Kala said, ignoring his remark and pointed her head to the right where they saw the forest twist through the landscape.
"But what if we meet any humans?" he asked Kala seriously. "We'll be completely exposed to them."
"You'll just h

Chapter 9 Halka and Lochan, part 2
The weather was sunny and clear as usual and several spirits had sought to shadow under the big trees in the park that had its place in the middle of the city. Most of the trees in the park where oaks or elms, but on the small hill overlooking the lake stood a single weeping willow. Two figures sat close under its shadow, one of them writing notes in a book, the other leaned back sideways and rested his head on his palm, curiously studying the black haired girl beside him. He reached out his other hand to softly tease a lock of her long hair. She quickly shoved his hand away without moving her e

Chapter 8 Halka and Lochan, part 1
Halka lightly jumped off Rajkumars back as they reached the river Gahana to drink. She watched Rajkumar as he started to drink. He was silent as ever, and Kala was not saying much either, which was an unusual sight. Halka sauntered away from them to be alone. She wondered how much longer she could keep her identity a secret. Rajkumar had even been suspicious from the very first time they met.
Youre not going to tell them, right?
She heard the small familiar voice of Lochan and saw him appear in front of her in his little winged tortoise form. He flew on to the groun

Chapter 7 Tears of loss
Oh no, Kala said silently, but her face was tainted with fear. She stared at Rajkumar, who stared back with an expression just as frightened as hers. He could smell the scent of blood from the pride getting stronger as they both stood frozen on the spot. They nodded understandably at each other and started running towards the smell as fast as they could. To Kalas surprise, she was almost as fast as Rajkumar, but she figured he might be running a bit slower to make her keep up with him. She began to imagine all kinds of horrible stuff that could have happened to her

Chapter 6 Memories awake
Rajkumar sauntered slowly through the pride. The lionesses were staring at him with a confused look in their eyes. They were afraid he might have come back to challenge Murugan yet again, and kept staring at him to make sure he did not make any sudden moves. To their surprise, he went right past Murugan, who was lying peaceful on the ground. He looked up when he noticed Rajkumar.
Rajkumar, may I speak with you? he said in a silent voice, just barely enough for Rajkumar to hear him. He went over and sat down beside him, without showing any form o

Chapter 5 Arrival at Murugans pride
Here it is!
Kala and Halka stopped at a big rock. Rajkumar was way behind them. Ever since Halka had joined their trip, she and Kala had been constantly talking about everything between heaven and earth. In the end, it became enough for him and he had kept a great distance from them since. He questioned Kala as he approached them.
What is here?
Its the rock, Kala answered. The elephant guardian.
He took a look at the rock. It did look like a full size elephant. The legs and trunk were placed in a threatening position, k

The hook was aimed at his head, but Kalas yell made him turn around and the hook grabbed the start of his tail and made a wound along his back, when it was pulled. Rajkumar shouted out in pain and attacked the bushes from where the hook had come from, but again, the hook was not there. Kala watched him for over 10 minutes, trying to find the owner of the hook, but getting hurt in the process. She could not stand seeing him be in so much pain, but every time she wanted to interfere, Rajkumar told her not to. In the end,

Chapter 3 The lonely lion
Rajkumar felt like he had been walking for hours along the jungle path. The ground was overgrown with scrubs of all sizes. Next to him, Kala was walking silently, for once. She was carefully watching the road ahead of them, looking for familiar spots that could reveal the amount of time before they reached her pride. She sighed for herself, and looked down on her feet. Her eyes opened wide.
Eh, Rajkumar? She questioned him when she spotted the marking he had left on her body. Why exactly is there a bloody paw print on my chest?

Chapter 2 - Rajkumar, Kala's protector?
Tell me about yourself Rajkumar.
Kala and Rajkumar were walking along the sparkling river. Only the sound of the streaming water was approaching their ears from this area of the forest. Rajkumar was not too happy about Kalas sudden interest in his life.
No thanks, he said. Its really none of your business.
Fair enough, she replied, and soon something else caught her interest. She started sniffing through some nearby plants. It was not long before she was so far into the plants, that they were covering her up. When her head
